Gourmand World Cookbook Awards 2006 that
took place in Beijing on September 27
2007 proved to be a great success for
Alexia Alexiadou, who was awarded with
two prestigious awards.
The one was for her series of books “Many
healthy flavors” that received the biggest
honor to this day for a Greek nomination:
the first prize in the category “Best
series of cookbooks in the world” among
competitors from 14 other countries. The
series of cookbooks was a supplement of
one of the highest circulated national
Greek newspaper, called “Ta Nea”.
The second one was for her book “A Christmas
dream” that received the second prize
as one of the “Best entertaining books”.
As it is graphically stated in the official
website of the Gourmand World Cookbook
“Alexia Alexiadou really knows how to
entertain, with a clear focus on style
and details, with innovative as well as
traditional ideas for everyone”.
The Gourmand World Cookbook Awards are
considered as the equivalent of the Oscar
awards in the world of food and wine.
They were created 12 years ago in order
to reward and honor those who “cook with
words” and help make the best food and
wine books renowned.
